The apps that matter most for work, messaging, or entertainment often pull attention without a boundary. Screen-time limits feel arbitrary, and walking for health rarely connects to the digital habits that drain focus.
Our Solution
Select what StepLock should manage, grant Apple Health step access, and earn a shared balance: validated steps convert into screen time for your selected apps. Steps taken while a selected app is open do not convert, so scrolling cannot earn more scrolling. When the balance hits zero, StepLock shields those apps until you earn more. Daily goals and streaks track consistency; carryover, a once-daily five-minute break-glass unlock, and clear progress screens keep the system practical. Free access lets you try the system; StepLock Pro keeps earning active after free access ends via App Store subscription.
Business Impact
Privacy by design: Health step data and Screen Time selections stay on your device — no StepLock account required. Limited anonymous product analytics go to PostHog's EU service without Health data or selected-app identities. Apple and RevenueCat handle subscriptions with an anonymous identifier. Meta App Events may measure which of our ads led to an install or subscription (with ATT permission for IDFA); Health data and blocked-app identities are never sent to Meta. No in-app ads and no sale of personal information.
